Business Orange cleaned up at the 2026 Western NSW Business Awards: Here are all our members who won!

Orange came home with 12 wins at the 2026 Western NSW Business Awards. Out of 20 categories, our members took 12. That’s not a good night – that’s a statement!

The Western NSW Business Awards are one of the most prestigious regional business events in NSW. Business NSW Western NSW works with a network of local chambers across an area stretching from the bottom of the Blue Mountains to Broken Hill – this year, finalists travelled from Bathurst, Condobolin, Dubbo, Forbes, Kandos/Rylstone, Mudgee, Oberon and Parkes to name just a few. More than 260 guests gathered at the Orange Ex-Services Club for a gala evening hosted by MC Rebecca Saunders, with Phil Donato MP, Andrew Gee MP and Stephen Lawrence MLC among the dignitaries in the room alongside representatives from Business NSW and Orange City Council.

This year, Business Orange members represented in record numbers – 9 individual finalists and 16 business finalists across the night’s 20 categories.

Vicki Seccombe, Regional Director of Business NSW Western NSW, said the awards are about celebrating the diversity of talent across the region. “Businesses are continuing to deal with difficult trading conditions, so these awards are a wonderful opportunity to shine a spotlight on our amazing group of finalists from right across the region,” she said.

For Orange, it was a night to remember…

AMY VAN DE VEN

A Special Mention for GTT:

Green Timber Technology didn’t just win, with three categories and the top gong, they dominated! Pete Morrison took home Outstanding Young Business Leader, and GTT also won Excellence in Sustainability, Excellence in Innovation and Business of the Year.

Pete Morrison said being named Business of the Year is an extraordinary honour for his whole team. “It recognises the discipline, courage and belief it has taken to build a new model of construction from regional NSW, and to prove that it can deliver real housing outcomes,” he said.

Outstanding Local Chamber:

Business Orange took home Outstanding Local Chamber on the night too. It’s a reflection of what the chamber has been working on – advocating for members on issues like the Great Western Highway, connecting the Orange business community through events like the Keynote Lunch and Business After Hours, and making sure Orange businesses have a genuine voice at a regional and state level.

On the night, Business Orange President Amy van de Ven acknowledged the volunteer Board, both current members and those who have served before to rebuild the chamber into a thriving, proactive organisation supporting the local business community.
Amy also thanked Business Orange members and the community, saying “This award is for every single member, congratulations!… being in business is tough, being in business in regional Australia is even tougher… we’re proud of the grit, determination and resilience we see on the daily from our business community”.

Winners of the 2026 Western NSW Business Awards now go on to represent the region at the State Business Awards in October, where we are hoping to see some more big member wins!

Congratulations to every finalist and every winner, especially to our members. Record finalists and 12 wins from one community is something to be very proud of.
